Situated on the owners farm adjacent to the farmhouse but where privacy is assured. Guests can enjoy the countryside views from the land and benefit from being a 5 minute drive from the sandy beach at Instow. Lots to see and do nearby with Tapeley House and Gardens being a 5 minute drive away. Other attractions include The Big Sheep The Milky Way both offer indoor and outdoor activities and events for all the family. The golden sands at Westward Ho! are popular with beach lovers and offer excellent opportunities for surfing and body boarding. Instow itself has a selection of small shops an excellent mini-supermarket superb riverfront hotel and a selection of restaurants and pubs all of which offer food. Wander along the promenade and enjoy a locally made Hockings ice cream sit amongst the sand dunes and watch the sailing boats bobbing up and down or have a go at a variety of water sports which can be organised on the beach. Across the estuary is the small fishing village of Appledore which has a history of seafarers and ship building and is worth a trip across the water. Farm activities: guests are welcome to feed the chickens. Outside: shared use of extensive lawns with garden furniture and BBQ. Amenities: ample off-road parking. Bed linen and central heating included. Electric by meter. Regret no smoking. 1 small/medium welcome in each cottage please note that dogs must be kept on leads at all times due to the animals on site. The accommodation is ideal for couples or small families and offers TWO bedrooms: on ground floor 1 double with additional single and on first floor 1 double four poster. Kitchen/diner: electric oven and hob fridge with freezer section and microwave.

The small port of Bideford in north Devon, England, is located on the River Torridge opposite East-of-the-Water. A perfect location for staying at if you wish to explore the north Devon coast, Bideford is not far from Northam, Abbotsham, Westward Ho!, Appledore, and Monkleigh. The nearest main cities are Plymouth (population 243,795), Exeter (population 106,772), and Truro (which has a population of 20,920 according to the 2001 Census).
By the 16th century Bideford had become the third largest port in England, although its importance is far less these day. It is famed for the 'Long Bridge' which crosses the river and which dates right back to the 15th century.
Bideford is easily accessibly by road, being located on the A39 coastal road, and offers much for the holidaymaker wishing to explore this part of Devon.
